Writetober 2024, Horror Haven: Day 26: Hairer, Better, Faster, Stronger (Alternate Version)

 Dem, a being of circuits and steel, had always been a creature of logic. But when a freak accident infused his metallic form with a strange, organic energy, something unexpected happened. He woke up, no longer a machine, but a man. A very, very hairy man.

He was a werewolf, a creature of myth and madness. But unlike his brethren, Dem had a peculiar fear: dogs. Small, medium, or large, they all sent shivers down his hairy spine. A fear, perhaps, born of his former life as a machine, a being that understood being controlled. Dogs, with their unquestioning obedience and primal instincts, were a stark contrast to his logical, rational mind.

So, here he was, a technological marvel turned monstrous beast, cowering at the sight of a golden retriever. It was a truly bizarre predicament, one that would have amused him, if it weren't so terrifying.
